Rocket attacks on civilian aircraft are a weak spot in our defenses, and frankly I'm surprised we have not seen a lot of this, particularly in foreign airports.
Fortunately, a civilian airliner is not as vulnerable to off-the-shelf heatseekers as a fighter plane or attack helicopter would be. That doesn't make them safe, though.
