Tet was a vicious attack against civilians and Americans held under the guise of a religious holiday, was designed to militarily stop America but was crushed after strong fighting by the Americans. Yet the left, ever irresolute in the face of challenges, portrayed it a defeat.
We who support freedom must not let the leftists and pro-tyranny factions turn what will in fact be a defeat of the terrorists into a defeat for us or the Iraqi people who are so recently given the chance to build a free and civil society.
The tone and tenor of this fight must be resolute and we must go after the enemy. The only success terror bombers have ever had has come from weakening morale. The left is too weak to see this, and the supporters of tyrants are only too happy to feed the lie. Terrorists have never won by actual victory, only by getting the stronger side to ignore its strentgh and to quit. We must no do this.
