Endless war

I agree with you and Raoul.
Death and destruction spur revenge which in turn spurs more death and destruction.
At least the terrorists before this "War on Terror" were a radical group, easily identifiable and virulent; we have now spread them to the winds and they are multiplying like a disease.
Before this "war", (after 9/11), we had the co-operation and support to help quarantine these radicals in other countries. Now, the co-operation has slowed as they all want to know the real reasons why Bush started this "pre-emptive" war. Now that we control the politics and the oil of the country and aren't doing a good job at re-construction, they let us sink in our own costly mistake. We have made the world LESS safe, not more safe.
I have to laugh to hear Rumsfeld and Bush publicly declare we are winning the "war" on terrorism.
Instead of containing it, they have spread it.
Like a cancer tumor, instead of carefully excising it by bringing in a qualified team of doctors, removing it and keeping a watchful eye on the healing process for any sign of regrowth, they have blasted it apart (Texas-style) and now it's metasasizing everywhere.
And Bush's "Bring 'em on" (Texas-style) is what has spurred the offensive.
Don'tcha think?

I sit here and shake my head at their ignorance. Easy for them to say, sitting in their safe and comfy bunkers like the White House. I agree with the general who said that ALL children of the executive branch and congress should have to be on the front lines first....then we'd see how soon we'd push for a pre-emptive war...........
