Strawmen, supposition and conjecture

Yeah, they were mortal enemies before the war. You could tell by the way that Islamists were immediately captured and killed when they came into Iraq. Oh, wait. They were sheltered and protected, weren't they? And by the number of bombings of Saddam's facilities by the Islamists. Oh, wait. There weren't any.

Strawmen one and all.
The "enemy of my enemy is my friend" may be believed in US foreign policy, but doesn't necessarily project to the rest of the world.

For some mysterious reason the Islamists were only killing Kurds. Have you been paying any attention at all to what I've been saying?

Pay attention yourself. The main parties killing Kurds in recent years were other Kurds.
Any Islamists killing Kurds in a region that was out of his control does not ipso facto mean they were working together.

If they are working together now, there is not one reason they could not have been working together three years ago. It's not like we were any less hated by either group back then.

Conjecture, without proof.
Was Iran working closely with Iraq in the last 10 years?
No. Ask yourself why.
Also ask yourself why that the only time OBL spoke up for Iraq was on the eve of the war - and specifically asking the Iraqi people to rise up against the invaders.
