American culture neither abscribes or denies the right to be offensive- it has nothing to do with that. It does ascribe the right to say what you want how you want (within reason). Usually said as the last defense of the illiterate and/or inadequate. One of these pithy-sounding sayings that are impossible to argue without granting truth to the slop. So I'm not going to waste my time.

I will grant you that there is a difference between having the tools available to lead an examined existence and actually leading one. Your so-called 'flames' betray a complete lack of understanding about what is actually offensive, and what actually constitutes a criticism or an insult of another human being, and who/what you are!

For example, when you go about trying to insult someone by posing them as objects of violent homosexual sex acts (perpetrated by yourself, interestingly enough), the only people that could possibly be hurt or insulted by that are people that are hopelessly insecure in their sexuality. Conversly, the very fact that you consider it grave or effective insult indicates that you yourself must be insecure in your sexuality.

So playing out this rather pathetic and obvious psychodrama is offensive to the same degree as turning the corner and finding someone shitting on the sidewalk- its a leveling down of the community standards, its a regression into something base that we all know better not to do. Its offensive in a way that is not insulting, but rather simply profoundly embarrassing.

Threats of individual physical or sexual violence have been obsolete since mankind invented weaponry and law. Since then, the biggest guy does not win the fight- rather the man who knows how to use his weapon the best, and has better tactics wins, so your frequent reduction to threats of violence is literally like the flintlock-wielding tribesman charging colonial machine-bun nests atop his best war camel. Its another embarassing display that holds no insult, just offense.

Look, I don't care to judge who won the 'war'. I am trying to just get you to clean up your language in your flames because, as per above, I don't like being forced to watch public acts of defecation.
