I would think that the elderly (having survived WWII and the cold war) and the immigrent population (having escaped Castro's Communist paradise) are more likely than ever to swing Republican when it is so obvious that the Democrats have adopted the "Put your head in the sand and we can all get along" stance.
We've forgotten Pearl Harbor ten times over.
