Superficial BS

"The winner in this game is the one who best can tolerate instability. US policy remains obsessed with bringing stability to the Middle East, no matter how much the US must spend. Bush gambled and lost a good deal of his reputation blowing soap-bubbles about an Israeli-Palestinian peace initiative."

Bullshit. Well written, well documented, well rationalized bullshit.

This author of these pieces does everything except deal with the heart of the matter. The REASON why the Moslem world "dis-likes" us is that we're the only nation on Earth tolerating further Israeli expansion. Period. End of story. All she wrote.

If it wasn't for this US policy, nearly everyone in the "Middle East" would be at least dreaming about a small vacation to Beirut for swimming, gambling in the casinos, having a few discrete sips, and otherwise enjoying the nightlife and scenery. The remainder might be enjoying a pipe or a chew and some tea and trac with friends in a cafe at home.

Instead we have a ruin and this constant g*d damn fucking bullshit served up hot and fresh to us everyday on a platter.

It isn't the lack of intelligence there, it's the insanity already that's already here. Anyone who tells it like it is gets slammed, one way or another. Yeah, I remember the reaction to the news of the Shah of Iran's difficulties.

As far as signals goes, remember Liberty? Remember that unfortunate bombing in Lebanon? Or do we simply ignore inconvenient facts again? Want to go through the field agents?

"US policy remains obsessed with bringing stability to the Middle East".

Bullshit. This particular quote is particularly telling of the author's deep bullshit. Any US politician can only exert so much pressure on the government of Israel before he gets creamed. The result is that there isn't a "US policy" - and no one can talk about it too much, at least on the public airwaves, or in the general press, without getting creamed as well.

The problem with US intelligence in the "Middle East" is that anyone with any intelligence usually can't stand the g*d damn constant f*cking bullshit right here at home.
