There's no bigger fan of American culture and fast food than I am, but I am never going to harbor any illusions that a Big Mac is the best nutrition decision I could make.*
Now I see ads on TV for Kentucky Fried Chicken about how fried chicken is an important part of a healthy diet. Sure it might be better for you than a Whopper, but that's like saying something is svelte because it weighs less than a hippopotamus.
Hey, says the ad. Low on carbs! High in protein! Yeah? I don't see the fat count up there, and I think Atkins is full of crap.
If they want to do me a favor, they can bring back the "skin-free" chicken they had for a short time some years back. When I fry chicken, the skin goes right into the garbage. My Mom cooked it that way, and so do I.
*Actually, McDonalds and other places have some damn good salads now, unlike their old sucky ones.
Okay, now this is a little ridiculous.
