I have the boxed DVD set, and I've probably watched it half a dozen times by now...and I'll watch it again, and again, and again. It's a remarkable work, true to the technical as well as the human and spiritual. Restores my faith in humanity every time I watch it.
It's hard to single out favorite episodes; if I had to pick one, I'd say the story of Kelly and the LM; or maybe the one about Harrison Schmitt introducing real geology to the program. But all of it was full of vivid scenes, like Buzz riding the Agena on Gemini 12, Ed White's space walk, flight-testing the system on Apollo 9, the poignant departure at the end of 17, the memories from my own life evoked by "1968".... I even like the music; I last watched it about two months ago, and just last night caught myself humming the main theme.
Three thumbs up!
(Hey, wait a minute, this is Flame...what's with all this positivity?)
