Please feel free to point out a war in the entire history of humanity that went "according to plan." The basic plan is to fight the enemy until we beat them, and that's been pretty much the plan for American wars since the Revolution. Everything else, the details, you adapt as you go along.

It's a little difficult when so many people, even in America, want us to lose, but it can be managed.

The opponents, of course, have no workable ideas, other than reciting "United Nations" like it's some kind of mantra.

This in the face of evidence that the U.N. has screwed up almost every war-related effort they have ever been involved in. You want the U.N. involved? Have them hand out food and medicine, a task at which they have excelled. For God's sake don't put them to work fighting people who would blow up their own children to win.
