One of the greatest air shows around is this weekend in La Vegas, the Nellis Air Show.
An impressive lineup of jets and planes like the Air Force's F-16 Viper West Team, Red Bull MIG-17 with the worlds only jet-fighter pyrotechnic act (during the night too), Navy's F-14 Tomcat Demonstration Team, B2 Stealth Bomber flyby, Air Force F-15 Eagles, Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt (yea the Warhog, Desert Storm ring a bell), Formula 1 air race (seen a few of those, permeant land gear type) and last but not least and I'm leaving out some like the great P-51 Mustang solo acts, the Air Force Thunderbirds! Wow! What a flight schedule and then there is the static displays and I'm going to miss it all #@%&! (My friends are driving down as I'm typing).
Well, we did take the boat to San Francisco's Fleet Week this year in Oct. Anchored next to Alcatraz and watched the Blue Angles, Snow Birds and a few other but nothing like the Nellis Air Show. I think next year the boat might have a problem so I can get my fix in Las Vegas.
Some photos of Fleet Week. Sorry they are so small, not as good as when each photo fills the screen.
