Sounds like the fly-bys before an AF Academy home game
I attended a game about a month ago. The fly-bys included:
3 WWII vintage T-6 trainers
4 current T-6 trainers
4 A-10s
1 C-17
4 F-16s
1 KC-135
and some others.
I attended the Navy game several years ago. Damned near every type of plane in the inventory made an appearance including a B-2, B-52, fighters, trainers, tankers and Special Ops helicopters.
Of course, as a taxpayer, I'm skeptical of the value of these fly-bys. Each of those planes cost thousands of dollars per hour to operate and they came from all over the country.
