Well, leaving aside the fact that the writer doesn't know jack shit about what's actually going on at the scene, what would you recommend for dealing with attackers who dive into farmhouses for cover and use them to assemble for attacks?
And I suppose all the sad stories are totally accurate. What's an Iraqi going to say to a newsman? "Oh, yeah, I'm one of the guys who shot down that copter and I got my house knocked down. Guess I had it coming."
No, it's poor farmer Khalil and his dead cow and busted TV.
Naturally, our military must be lying about them being legitimate targets. I mean, who would YOU believe?
Now that we're shooting back, I expect to see from the press a full accounting, with color pictures with notes and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one, of every injured civilian, every car blown up by mistake, and everything else that makes our troops look bad. No big surprise there.
