Not much. It costs a great deal to break H2 out of water...where do you get the energy?
Why would oil, a natural mineral, be classified as toxic waste?
Solar has been 'feasible' since the first years of the last century.
The only energy source that is truly feasible as an alternative is the great taboo of American energy policy: nuke power.
Until we join advanced countries like france and start again on the nuke path, we are doomed to very expensive foreign policy.
