What struck me (for some reason) was how the repugnant practice of infanticide, by a primitive people, paled in comparison to the murder of the Palestinian woman who was raped by her Muslim brothers and killed by her Muslim mother.
At least we can somewhat understand infanticide in the context of abortion which many on this board (including myself) support the right of the mother to decide the morality/practicality of the choice. (In reality the entire moral burden has been placed on the mother as the father in most cases conveniently hides behind his 'support' of 'her' decision)
But murdering a daughter that you have raised to a young adult is for me - beyond comprehension. Apparently this "religion of loveâ€, as practiced in the Middle East, has little respect for human life and less for the lives of Women in their cultures. A system that contorts it's own religious principles in order to preserve and promote heinous male domination in the modern world- a system that offers up it children as martyrs- a system that seeks the elimination of the 'infidel' by the indiscriminate murder of hundreds and thousands of innocents- is far below the evolutionary scale compared to the Flecheiros.
