Assuming I'm interpreting your point correctly:
I think the parallel between the Amazon natives and the radical Islamists does not hold up very well, despite both having pathological cultural problems. I can't think of any scenario under which the Amazon natives in their present state could possibly pose a threat to anyone else, and if they do enter mainstream culture, odds are they would not retain the pathologies of their old ones.
