Actually it is.
Without an ample oil supply this nations economy would collapse. Oil is what ‘drives’ this country and keeps it operating, without it America wouldn‘t exist as it does now. Personally I would rather go completely nuclear, but that’s just me. Until we finally move to another viable power source oil will always be the core of our economy and dictate political policy.
Having oil is just as important to this country as killing the terrorists that want to destroy it is.
