The complete shared traits can be summed up this way:

"Survival of good over evil through the medium of space (including cyberspace)"

In other words the Bush masterplan for longterm survival of the USA over evil relies upon space superiority - our ace in the hole and which can deter attacks and assure future victories. With only a handful of nations capable of even putting something in orbit, this advantage will be ours much longer than any of our other leads.

Missile defense, investment in advanced military satellite systems, upgrading the energy infrastructure, funding new technologies all these are components of this longterm approach. Bush is doing his best to cement these things in place and make many of these projects unable to be curtailed even if he should he somehow lose the next election.

As the Russians satellite presence abates and ours grows stronger, we become even better positioned to collect and distribute (and control to a certain degree) realtime information - this advantage being a very underrated tool. Bush is information age savvy.
