I keep trying to stick to the issue and you keep twisting it into a partisan sermon.
The only "underlying premise" is that a rules change will go into effect that will exclude a large group of scientists from peer review panels. The effected group of scientists is *****NOT***** the industrial ones, it is the ones not industrial. They are the injured parties here (not counting the effect on science in general), not the poor poor industrial scientists that you feel are getting such a bad rap.
NOBODY IS FREAKING SAYING THAT INDUSTRIAL SCIENTISTS ARE BAD OR SHOULD BE KEPT FROM PARTICIPATING IN PEER REVIEW. WHAT I AM SAYING AND WHAT THE ARTICLE SAID IS THAT NON INDUSTRIAL SCIENTISTS SHOULD NOT BE EXCLUDED FROM THE PROCESS.
