By and large, yes. Certainly better than many of his immediate predecessor's foreign policy decisions, IMO. Certainly better than Canada's decisions, IMO.

Pretty silly comment. Sometimes, political considerations overcome other factors, such as was the case when the bitter enemies Stalin and Hitler made a non-aggression pact in 1939. Despite what NPR saids, the jury is still out on whether Osama and Saddam cooperated. What is known is that both have supported international terrorism. That makes both of them fair game.

You probably think that 30 million Kurds, Shiites, Sunnis will get along and not kill each other once they eventually learn and adopt American values. Yea! Right!

You seem to have a pretty condescending opinion of 30 million people. Are you one of those people who seem to think that certain people are incapable of representative government based on democratic ideals?

Will Iraq have a difficult time establishing a new government? Sure. But then, it took the US several years after the Revolutionary War ended before our Constitution was ratified. It took 7 years to set up a functioning representative government in Japan following WWII.
