I heard this exact same thing when Reagan was reelected.
Obviously we survived without being instantly changed into a tyrannical theocracy or plutocracy, which liberals, for some reason, seem to think is all conservatives live for.
For that matter, somehow we survived eight years of Clinton without being plunged into socialist deprivation. Although I don't know how that might have eventually gone if the Republicans hadn't gained control of Congress in 1994. ;)
Just out of curiosity, where do you think the deficit would be if Hillary had succeeded in nationalizing health care at the beginning of Clinton's administration?
