A proposal for SSTO

I've been tossing around various concepts for a SSTO vehicle ever since I first saw the DC-X on tv back in the early 90s. Then I ran across the Rotary Rocket website with the Roton. After viewing these two designs, I sketched out an idea that would blend the best features of both into a single vehicle. But last night I had a thought, why land it with rotor blades or rocket engines? Why not just land it like the X-38, with a large parafoil. Keep the over all conical shape but with some lifting body features built in to give it stability during reentry. I got the idea for the shape from the Japanese HYFLEX.

My idea is to build a single stage vehicle with the same body shape as the HYFLEX that would launch vertically and go into LEO.

It would use its lifting body shape and TPS for reentry into the atmosphere.

Once it was in the atmosphere, it would deploy a parafoil and land like the X-38

After landing it could be put back into its upright position and checked out, then refueled and launched again. Overall, it's a very simple design. Anyone have any thoughts?
