re: stopping process automatically
I've found spybot search and destroy to be very good at removing adware. Do a google search for it, you'll find it. Ad-aware left some stuff on a friend's computer (his "pornboy" son did the same thing your nephew did), Spybot got rid of it all. Before you do the search, update the software (like Norton AV, it updates it's adware / spyware definitions).
