Some good ideas
I especially like #s 1, 4 and 5. Dr. Pillinger is a self promoter who has neither the skills, experience or technical expertise to put a martian lander together. And JPL/NASA have a pletora of experience to put to good use - Pillinger alienated these folks early on. Finally, the Levin and company crackpots did, indeed, put the mission in jeapardy. There's good reason why Beagle 2 was underfunded and in debt.
