The price of American absence on the moon?
As Buck says, everyone and their dog has plans to go to the moon. Granted, planning to go and actually going are two different things.
But if other nations carry out their lunar designs (particularly the crewed missions), what kind of price would the US pay for its absence there? And on the flip side of the coin, what benefits could we gain by cooperating with these other efforts, eg cost sharing, redundency, etc?
