I hope none of you has taken my subject heading out of context.
Don't send your fist flying into your keyboard or VDT in anger, you might
get electrocuted. ;>)
Listen! Don't take me out of context, please!
Mars is an interesting place.
Those are pretty pictures provided by the Spirit rover.
And I am impressed. Believe me, I am impressed!
Those images of Mars are nothing to yawn at...
They'll still illicit delight for at least a few more months.
[how many of you still get excited looking at Mars Pathfinder's images, 6 years later? I'm talking about
an epiphany experience.]
BUT!...BUT!...BUT!...THERE IS SOME COSMIC NEWS LATELY THAT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN MARS!!!
Now that I've got your attention!...
A star, just over 45 light-years away, in the general direction of Scorpius, has been examined and found
to be a VIRTUAL TWIN of our own SUN!
NOW THAT'S AN EPIPHANY EXPERIENCE!!!
The only thing missing?...Is confirmation that that star [OUR SUN'S TWIN] has planets;
hopefully one of them wiill be a 6.0 x 10^24 kilogram mass situated 1.5 x 10^8 kilometers from the star.
Confiermation could come within two-years with the help of interferometry observations from the twin KECK telescopes,
or from major telescopic doppler-shift observations or [possible] archived records of a 'wobbly' cork-screwing
stellar motion for that star.
HNY everybody.

There's a more important topic than Mars happening.
