Is Bush the worst president ever?

Interesting to watch the Bush apologists in action...they bob to the right ("FDR was a liar") and weave to the left ("Harding was corrupt") or simply bend down and try to pull the rug out from under you ("International law? Means nothing to us.") They actually seem to think that if Attila the Hun was worse, it means Bush isn't so bad. Some Bush apologists go back before the concept of clean government came to America, others keep going to a time when the corporation as we know it didn't even exist. If the question hadn't specified "President" some would surely be citing the Mayan atrocities of human sacrifice, or the sack of Constantinople by the Crusaders. Yes, it is surely a marvel that the same people were recently accusing liberals of "moral relativism" and claimed Clinton should be impeached because "he lied". Suddenly they're deeply concerned that we not judge before all the facts are in- I wonder, will they now join the ACLU? It's a wacky world of insanity, where spending as much on war as the next 13 nations combined is regarded as normal, and spending $50 billion on top of that isn't part of what causes a deficit. Reality has made Paul Krassner obsolete. In what alternate universe could a draft-dodging former drug user who swindled his business partners and ran up the world's biggest deficit be hailed as a great Republican? And which Bush do you like the best- Jeb, with his fixed elections, Neil the influence peddling sex maniac ("Wow, this is a really good hotel!"), or George, with the war that was not needed. It's a hard choice for sure. There's an argument for not being just a little insane. True, this argument is usually made by insane people who have become accustomed to being saved by others when insanity fails them, but this argument would say, "Enjoy the experience- Put Reagan on the dime and Bush on the twenty- proclaim the New American Century and arrest anyone who disagrees. A few years of real insanity are better than a lifetime of normality." So, why not? We already know that with the Bushies at the helm this country won't last forever. It's a compelling argument- if you're insane.
