These recently discovered weapons appear to be fairly old. We know that Saddam made extensive use of chemical weapons against the Iranians and then latter against his own people. It is not unreasonable that old weapon caches should be discovered. What I'm waiting for (and still believe exists) is a huge underground gallery filled with recent WMD related hardware. If we're to believe Debka (not recommended) this gallery might be in Syria or Lebanon.
