Lieberman disappoints me. I like Lieberman a lot but he's singing the same old tired song of "let's fix everything wrong with the earth before we explore space" to the earth first crowd. Gephadt I have never liked mostly because of his trade stance and his face, but now I have another reason not to like him. Besides he didn't even know what he was talking about since apparently the Space Station WILL be completed first. I'd like to see where John "Effin" Kerry stands. I like this guy except for the 'Nam thing.
I'll support any democrat in the primaries who supports the new SEI. In the general election I will support the Democratic candidate if he supports the new SEI. I expect whoever is the Dem choice though will likely have some kind of Lieberman style alternative. In that case I will bite the bullet hard and vote for space exploration. It's too important to me personally and the world I believe. I will NEVER register to the party that crossed the line of decency by investigating and then impeaching a president's over details of his sex life.
Btw, I think Bush might be well advised to create another big program not unlike Lieberman's, as well as the SEI to offset the criticism of the earth firsters.
