re: Lunar orbit satelites

High-altitude orbits (1000 km to about 20,000 km, if memory serves) around the Moon should be stable for decades. Near the Moon the problem are gravitational irregularities (it's not a sphere); farther away, the pull of Earth and Sun cause trouble. So a lunar GPS system should work fine.
