Just a few random thoughts--

Completely missing: The space initiative. Hmmmm.

Good news: making tax cuts permanent, Social Security options, private health care solutions, and no major new spending, although I have no idea where the heck that stuff on steroids and prisoner reentry programs came from.

Bad news: hauling the Constitution into marriage, and an inconsistent approach on immigration.

Ambivalent: renewing the Patriot Act.

Fun moments: the long and deliberate listing of nations in our "unilateral" Iraq effort, throwing the gauntlet down on socialized medicine, and taking bets on which of Ted Kennedy's arteries was going to let go first. Also, Jesse Jackson Jr.'s little girl getting picked up by Bush before the address.
