Over a difference of opinion. And what words by the way do you think I was putting in your mouth?
You have never used the words magic bullet and I did not say you did. That is my characterization of your often used, but seldom detailed "infrastructure requirement". I was referring to your lack of reply to my infrastructure question and my inability to see what critical element you think a Mars program would miss. I think I know what it is now and still think you are wrong. As I said earlier I will write a detailed rebuttal when I have time.
You have never used the words poo-poo with regard to Mars mission estimates, but you have claimed multiple times that they are way off.
Is it the exact wording that has got your dander up or do you feel there is some misrepresentation of your stance?
I have conceded that some testing on the Moon might make sense if it can be combined with worthwhile science, but I don't think there is anything that HAS to be tested on the Moon. You can simulate radiation, vacuum, temperature extremes, dust, and low gravity on Earth or in LEO. This issue is distinct from a lunar base yet you keep running them together unecessarily.

Mark
