Sorry to belabor this, but this was a stretch, even for you....

We are confiscating guns in the new democracy of Iraq... why? because they are killing americans... I do not advocate confiscating guns here, but they are killing more americans here...

so if a government fears an armed populace it is evil... we fear a 'liberated' armed Iraqi populace...

Tell me Tom.... where do we sit on the GOOD/BAD spectrum, then? Do you think we will start NRA clubs there while any americans remain in Iraq?

Tom, I think that deep down you are a rational person... but on an emotional level you have become too invested in the right/left battle... both sides are wrong in different areas- I freely admit leftist nuts like PETA and ELF etc are scourges... if you are rational you have to admit that the NRA has gone way too radical...
