Are you REALLY serious?

To eat everything on the menu seems to me a way to get the best possible nutrition from what was available. Vitamin, mineral, and essential fatty acid deficiencies are more possible if you exclude some types of food that might contain the nutrient in question. (keeps him from getting C deficiency by forcing him to have the OJ, for example)

Think about the Mc Donald's menu for a second:

Triple Thick Chocolate Shakes, Hot Fudge Sundaes, Hot Apple Pies, forced supersizing where he HAS to eat everything in front of him?

Supersize order of fries: 600 calories and 77 carbs.
Chocolate Triple Thick Shake: 1150 calories and 187 carbs.
Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese: 770 Calories and 39 carbs

Total Calories: 2520 calories and 303 carbs!

Daily TOTAL caloric intake for a 6'2 male is about 2500 calories. Just this meal ALONE will slowly put on weight if one is not very active. Now have two similar meals a day and your
caloric intake will be around 7500 calories!!!!!! At that rate one should GAIN at least two pounds a day! In a month one would be 60 pounds heavier.

McDonald's food in one's diet doesn't make one's liver toxic - implying their food is somehow poisonous - however force feeding a body will put any liver into "toxic shock" - simply because your blood is being forced to absorb too many sugars. Like a kid binging after Halloween on sweets - throwing the liver and the internal organs for a spin is easy enough to do.

I don't know anyone who goes to McDonald's for three meals a day, and certainly not for supersized meals or having to consume everything on their menu in the course of just one month. The film may help some folks realize the dangers of overeating - but as a condemnation of McDonald's its a flop.

I could put together a McDonald's meal plan where only McDonald's food is used that would turn obese people into slender and healthy people:

MCDONALDS THREE SQUARES & LOSE MENU (Courtesy SDAI-Tech1;-)

Breakfast:

Scrambled Eggs (2) 160 calories, 3 carbs
Sausage Patty (1) 170 calories, 0 carbs
Lowfat milk: (1) 100 calories, 13 carbs

Lunch:
Side Salad: 15 Calories, 3 Carbs plus Newman's Creamy Caesar dressing
(total with dressing: 205 calories and 7 carbs)
Hamburger: 280 calories, 36 carbs (if you want to restrict carbs make this a bunless burger)
Diet Coke (Super Sized!) 0 calories, 0 carbs
or
Coffee: 10 calories, 2 carbs

Dinner:

Chicken McNuggets: (4 piece size) 170 calories, 10 carbs
Hot mustard sauce: (1) 60 calories, 7 carbs
Side Salad: (with Caesar dressing) 205 calories, 7 carbs
Coffee: 10 calories, 2 carbs

______________________________________

GRAND TOTAL: 1370 calories and 87 carbs
(A 6'2 male loses 10.5 pounds a month on this menu)

No salad dressings version: 990 calories and 79 carbs
(A 6'2 male loses 14 pounds a month on this menu)

This is by no means a menu which denies oneself anything. (except perhaps fattening sweets) It would be very easy to take many obese kids of today and put them on this menu or one very similar and watch as they LOSE weight by eating fast food.

Let's see a film where that director eats these three McDonald's meals a day and watch him lose 10 and a half pounds every month! Watch his blood pressure go down and watch as fat melts away.

McDonald's should make a counter-movie doing just that sort of thing - take someone twenty pounds overweight and slim them down over two months on a three meals a day McDonald's diet! What a great PR coup that would be!

Decisions, decisions, decisions. McDonald's OR your local grocer can make you equally fat and unhealthy or trim and fit.
