And in the Reagan mode Bush is digging another deeper hole faster. Just look at a calendar and the deficits. (O'Neill said that the current administration believes Reagan demonstrated deficits don't matter.)

And then listen to a conservative rationalize. Apparently, so help me Hannah, Allah AND God, they don't understand numbers OR dates. "There is none so blind as he who will not see", I'm afraid.

We'll just have to wait for one of those tax and save Democrats to bail us out again, so we can forget what it was like and elect another oligarichal Republican. Unless GWB can just plain buy this election with his share of campaign funds extorted from the rich for the tax breaks.

Another Bogus Budget

Even as the Republican leadership strong-armed the Medicare drug bill through Congress, the administration was sitting on estimates showing that the plan would cost at least $134 billion more than it let on. But let's not make too much of the incident. After all, it's not as if our leaders make a habit of faking their budget projections. Oh, wait."
