re: Israel knew Iraq had no WMD

" "Israel said apparently there are weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, but we haven't seen anything with our own eyes," Yatom said. "But the great United States didn't have to rely on Israel." Yatom had a career in Israeli security before entering the parliament last year."

If Israel had "seen them with their own eyes", the US would used this intelligence to help target these weapons in the early part of the war, hoping to knock them out before Saddam could launch them at Israel.
Despite the apparent lack of Israel intel, the US would still have spent a considerable amount of air power and some ground troops, ready to deploy & looking for these scud launchers. And unlike Gulf war I, the coalition would been in the position to use overt and fairly large ground forces to take out these targets had they been detected.
These scud missiles are much bigger (harder to move undetected and deploy) than the smaller missiles used against Kuwait.
