Opportunity is actually doing thing pretty quick. Remember some things take a long time. Just to use APXS and MB on the arm takes a day or two to get good data. They longer they integrate on an instrument, the lower the signal to noise ratio.
They said they are going to dig a small whole with Opportunity and after a few days will head to the outcrop. Spirit should start its long drive in a couple days too. Have a little patience.
