Sines and co-siners . . .

I had heard the figure of "millions" early on when the mass graves were being discovered last April. It stuck in my head. I don't need to inflate the number of victims of Saddam Hussein to make the point.

As I've already said, inflating the number helped your attempt at sarcasm.

If the number 455,000, or any other figure, had been repeated enough I'm sure I would have quoted that.

More's the pity. Does the phrase "consider the source" mean anything to you?

You don't see it do you? As people become mental contortionists to villify Bush, they find that along with this contortion they have to lie to themselves about Saddam - "I don't believe he's as bad as they've made him out."

Objective comparisons of Hussein and Hitler have nothing to do with villifying Bush. You seem to want to believe Hussein was more evil than Hitler, and you're prepared to believe (and repeat) absurdities -- "the millions [of Iraqis] killed in death camps" -- to fabricate your case.

Much like thieves believe everyone else is dishonest and psychopaths believe everyone else is faking empathy, you believe others are engaged in mental contortions, while the evidence suggests you're ascribing to others your own particular weakness. As you heap unwarranted villification on Hussein, you want to believe others are unjustly villifying Bush. You're demonstrating a classic case of what the psychiatric profession calls "projection."

The dark side of their psyches is emerging. It's tricky isn't it? You probably never even thought about how subtly one has to dismiss mass graves, amputations, branding, raping, torturing and every depravity known to man?

The mass graves, amputations, etc., etc., also occurred under Hitler's rule. Who was the Iraqi Mengele?

One of the links described death marches for Kurds. Another how victims in hospitals were summarily executed and used for medical experimentation.

So both regimes had death marches. Were living women and children subjected to torturous medical experiments in Iraq? How many? What experiments? How credible are the sources of information detailing those experiments?

How exactly do you measure evil? Is it purely numerical? Is it a combination of numerical deaths with torture and human suffering?

I measure evil by my personal moral code. Don't you? Do you define "good" and "evil" rationally, or is your moral code based on superstition?

Basically, I am watching the left trip all over themselves and their dark sides in a race to demonize Bush. I see it in you, Greg, Don, Lindy, and others here - and it is now the predominant trait of the anti-Bush parrots squawking in the media and on the web.

Probably more projection. Conservatives are much more likely to see things in simple black-and-white terms, leading to the "for us or against us" thinking that makes demonization palatable. I doubt you can cite anything I've said that could be objectively considered as demonizing Bush.

It's completely invisible to you all. I know that. I know the natural reaction to criticism (or perceived criticism) is violent denial. But I also know that I have to at least point this detrimental and dichotomous behavior out when given an opportunity.

I've encountered (and heard of) people who're rabidly anti-Bush. I don't see that here from any of the people you've named. Accusing people of demonizing Bush isn't constructive or even worthy of consideration unless you back it up with concrete examples . If you're gonna make ridiculous claims like: "You don't believe Hussein is worse than Hitler, therefore you're villifying Bush," why should anyone take you seriously?

True pacifists don't decry Bush or this war. True pacifists know that anger and hatred are the root of violence and killing. When you see a screaming protester - they are simply manifesting the reverse polarity of what they are emotional about.

Nonsense like this will also keep people from taking you seriously. What credentials do you have for defining "true pacifists" and what makes you an expert on what "true pacifists know?"

I know,"What the heck did that last sentence mean?"

Screaming protestors are bi-polar and confused?

It means that people are most emotional about things which they have the least complete understanding.

There's a scientific method used by clinicians and philosophers to examine the validity of concepts. In technical jargon it's called "the giggle test."

The phrase "least complete" fails the giggle test. Least complete is like least pregnant -- nonsensical.

Even if restated as "less understanding," the concept fails. Who has less understanding of the Vietnam War, a Vietnam veteran with PTSD or a ten-year-old kid who plays war with his friends? Which one will probably be more emotional when you talk to them about the Vietnam War?

Who has less understanding of pedophilia, someone who was sexually abused as a child or someone who wasn't? Which will probably be more emotional when you talk to them about children being sexually abused?

If this wave represents the sum of a mind's thoughts "feelings about war" then the center line would be a balanced view. The top side would be love of war and the bottom side is hate of war. Basically, if one really HATES war - one will also cycle around to the point where one really LOVES war. This imbalance is made manifest by both people who are for and against wars - really they are two sides of the same coin. Scientifically, both protesters and war-mongerers are birds of a feather:

Sooo, if an Auschwitz survivor hated the experience, he or she will also cycle around to the point where he/she really loves it? One who HATES the concept of "death camps" will eventually cycle around to the point where one LOVES death camps? LOL. Do you really believe this nonsense?

You wont find these concepts discussed on any blog. They are very advanced concepts and are not really easily understood until one really spends some time with them. The surface mind dismisses them as gobbledy-gook until one actually takes the time to really understand them.

God loves us. How do we know? Cuz the Bible tells us so. Some blather is "very advanced." How do we know? Cuz the blatherer tells us so.

Naturally, they blame Bush for all of this anger and fail to see their unhappiness is completely controlled by them.

And the Jews who suffered in death camps blamed their tormentors and
failed to see their unhappiness was completely controlled by themselves. Next time you meet an Auschwitz survivor, share your theory with him or her.
