Mothball The HST
Make a docking truss, strip away the solar panels and use aux power panels to keep the HST into a slumber mode with periodic missions to boost the HST into a stable orbit. There ought ot be a space dock or refurbish facility online in the next 20 yrs or so....... Typical NASA , junk a good program just because newer, better, and faster is in the future----about 25 yrs I say!
