And they don't care to find out. Don't even want to see the pictures of the "collateral damage". Too gruesome, they say.
For US conservatives, war seems to be a chess game, and the pawns aren't people, really. And if there are no WMD, well, who cares? If they weren't a threat, they are at least "free". And if it isn't for oil, why is the US building the BIGGEST embassy they will have, in the entire world, in a place the size of California? With an economic base the size of San Pedro. Wouldn't need it, would they, if it was for Iraqi freedom.
When will US troops leave? Never. They don't leave unless physically thrown out. Haven't left Japan, Germany, Korea. Have left the Phillipines after they were thrown out. Same with Vietnam. As if Germany needs US forces, or that the troops in Korea would be anything more than sacrificial lambs if the N. Koreans decided to cross the line.
Interesting point. A Marine Corp general in command of the First Marine Division, was quoted at a news conference as saying, "If the people cooperate with us, we are their best friends. If they don't, we are their worst enemies!"
He, by the way, was living in one of Saddam's palaces. And saying the same thing Saddam said.
It's like one big Arnold or Sylvester movie. Come to think of it, they carried that image to the point of electing one in California.
Terribly sad. Grievous. It's the civilians who suffer, in this case for American profit.
Again, if it were for "freedom", that "embassy" wouldn't be needed.
