Current Events » in reply to Will John F Kerry's association with Jane Fonda (Hanoi Jane) be a major factor?

Not to me.

His "veterans against the war" activity becomes relevant only if he makes a big deal about the fact that he went to Vietnam and uses it to paint himself as more patriotic, and I see both Kerry and the Democratic attack squads backing away from this issue now.

The photo circulating of Kerry and Fonda is overkill. I dare say that some audiences I have been in contained more than a few people I wouldn't want to be photographed with. And it's not like he was sitting next to Fonda. His attempts to paint the military as monsters may come back to haunt him.

I would like to see some real issues addressed, including the fact that Kerry is a howling leftist who has done his best to dismantle our defense capabilities during his Senate stint. It is also painfully obvious that he has no consistent principles other than the will of the Democratic Party, and that if elected he would do nothing to cut spending, but probably pile on additional entitlements and tax increases.

Has anyone even bothered to check out his ideas on his website? Ninety percent of his stuff seems to boil down to "John has a plan" or "John will fight for (insert goody here)."
