5. More Politics: Sharpton's Strange Bedfellows?

Stories broke out this week in the New York Times, Salon.com and the Village Voice looking into Al Sharpton's relationship to Republican strategist Roger Stone (an accomplished Nixonian dirty trickster, Stone was most known recently for his role in leading the mob that broke up the Florida vote recount in Miami). All reported that Stone, an avowed "Reagan Republican," had provided not only advice and strategic counsel to Sharpton, but also had taken over significant staff functions, including hiring, and was working on arranging donations (many from Republican donors) to enable Rev. Al's campaign (currently half a million dollars in debt) to qualify for federal matching funds.
