re: "For a change?" Boy, talk about distrust!!!

Of course, for those of us older than 14, "Reagan Republican" meant a democrat that voted for Reagan- or at least an independent that voted for Reagan. You see, Reagan got a lot of votes- and they didn't all come from the Republicans. Back in the olden days, the Dems ruled the House, with Republicans were "permanently" in the opposition party [minority].
Of course, who would expect a dog to have any memory:)

Nowadays, the Left see Reagan as the Evil One. Though at the time they didn't like him and were mudslinging him constantly. Reagan was a moderate who happenned to end the Cold War- and to the radical Left that was a unforgivable act. Reagan was "supposed to be" too stupid to manage to do anything important. The Cold War was suppose to be "neverending" and "unsolvable" problem. The Soviet were just too smart and efficent- they were the way of the future, we were doomed.
Of course, nowadays the Left sees Reagan as the mold of the Ultra-conservative (in other words what they hate the most).

Btw, didn't Clinton have a Republican advisor- or do really have a memory problem?
