He's God, remember?
Jesus didn't have football or martial arts terminology to fall back on.
Let me interpret for you:
Football:
When Evil depends on flattening your running game using superior force, you have to rely on your passing game, and go right over their heads. Force against force equals a lot of force. Take your game over their heads, and though some of you will be hurt, your cause will win in the end. What matters most is which you value more: hurting your opponent or victory for your cause.
Martial Arts:
When an adversary seeks to hurt you through the application of strength, do not resist, for that will allow him the advantage of the strength he applies. Rather, yield, and allow his strength and the force behind it to act for you. Either he will learn that he has not achieved his aim, which is to show himself superior to you, or he will continue to apply force, and will be progressively more worn out with each application. For you can be hurt, and you can be killed, as we can all be hurt and killed, but you cannot be defeated unless you surrender.
To allow the brutes of the world to set the standard is to set the standard at brutality.
