Seriou topic; In response to the impatience of some here to JPL not devulging esoteric science data from the Mars Rovers of late...

....I believe I have an explanation.

But first: It's not just the scientists at JPL, but those at Ames Labs,
Cornell University, etc., receiving that flood of data from the two rovers.

Second: Professional scientists whose vocation is studying the atmosphere, geology and or geophysics of Mars are temporarily withholding much of the APXS, Mini TES, and Mossbauer spectrometry data because they are using the data to write ABSTRACTS, SCIENCE PAPERS (And associated theses) that will be published in pro science journals like NATURE, SCIENCE, GEOPHYSICAL REVIEW, etc..

One thing scientists don't like is OTHERS claiming credit for (or worse) plaigarizing their work. So they prefer to keep the necessary data to themselves until it is published.
Wait about 4-6 months for the 'missing' APXS, Mossbauer, Mini TES science data to appear in those JOURNALS mentioned

This is worth waiting for.
By the way: I'm eagerly away the ABSTRACTS that will be read
at the 35th LUnar Planetary Science Conference this March 15-19
in Texas. You lucky dog, ebnelson.
