Okay, Jacob, I am one of the offenders asking for more data. Sometimes I do go off on things and I hope I have not insulted any of the scientists who have been working on this stuff for a very long time and are by all means much smarter than I. They've earned it.
It's just that I get so curious I cannot contain myself. I'll try to be better. These are exciting times in space exploration.
I've read all the abstracts from that meeting that have been posted, and wish I too could attend, and I eagerly await full and thoughtful articles that have been properly peer reviewed and printed on nice glossy sheets.
Your comments about plaigerizing are an important consideration to be sure. I hope there were no implications there directed towards myself and my insatiable curiosity. I am always very careful about citing my sources and indicating which thoughts came out of my own brain. I've no wish to publish or take credit for their work, I just like to "arm wave". But I do see how unreviewed data in the hands of some could be quite dangerous in the scientific discourse.
It will be important to subject these articles, and the data, and the conclusions to peer review because I've a feeling they'll be very interesting indeed. I guess I can wait, got plenty to do in the meantime.
Again, if I've made an ass of myself, I apologise.

ok, I'll shut up and wait with everyone else
