Kerry has a small window before his arrogance and condescension towards lesser people - anyone who questions him - becomes impossible to hide. Let him do what he wants.
McAuliffe/clinton have puppeteered this nomination process until the only nominees left standing are an ultraliberal patrician megarich NE Senator and an ambulance chasing megarich plaintiff attorney Senator. Both of whom have demonstrated no ability to define and stick to a strategy for national security or economic management longer than the results of the latest opinion poll.
Kerry, by obviously and cynically flip-flopping on Vietnam and then using that in a transparent and feeble attempt to rewrite the terms of the national debate is stepping out too far, imo.
All Bush ahs to do is to ignore the blowhard and continue dealing with today's problems. Let Kerry, fixed like a fossil bug in amber, try to pose that his failure to understand Vietnam 30 years ago somehow makes him wise today. If he thinks he gets to pick and choose what people way about his public record - all of it - then he is incredibly naive.
As for Edwards, Americans will elect an ambulance chaser for President about the time hell freezes over.
