My undergraduate school had a strict Honor Code, and I grew up on the Air Force Academy, so I was quite familiar with their very strict one. That's why I reacted so, because I take these things very seriously.

And I too note a greater occurance of trangression on this front and it bothers me alot. Cut and Paste makes that easy for people to do. It makes it easier to cite sources, too, but people are lazy. That's why I'm glad I'm not teaching anymore, because I think it is just getting worse.

I also ranted 'bout your use of the term "esoteric" in another post in response, and I hope you take no personal offense from that discussion.
