I have mixed thoughts on this. The Comanche was running about 40% over budget and may have been having a hard time meeting program requirements. Some argue that unmanned aircraft could do a better job without risking crewmembers' lives. Still, scout reconnaissance is a fundamental task for the military. I don't see any of the current UAVs having the Comanche's capabilities though they're getting better all the time.
