One of the articles I read said the Bush administration has been looking at several large cold war projects to cancel including RAH-66, V-22, and F-22 as potential candidates. I think I would have canceled the V-22 instead of the Comanche. The V-22 is an overly complicated death trap.

The F-22 is a very nice airplane and will probably be the premier air superiority fighter in the world, but I think I would have canceled it before Comanche too. I don't think the F-22 provides much advantage over the F-15 in the current world. The F-22 will only be useful if fighting a large, very sophisticated enemy.
